Gene-X helmer Martin Simpson and star Ayse Tezel arrive at the Australian Film Commission cocktail party on the beach at Cannes.

Simpson, whose film played to packed houses at the Market, and London-based Tezel, who also starred in another Cannes screener (Court of Lonely Royals) hobnobbed with other Oz attendees including Jan Chapman, Rolf de Heer, and Paul Cox, at the star-studded AFI occasion during the 59th Festival de Cannes.
